Dear Colleagues,
For more than three decades, the Balkan Stomatological Society has offered a place where dental professionals from neighbouring countries can learn from one another and build lasting professional ties. Our 31st Congress is an opportunity to carry that tradition forward.
The future of dentistry in our region depends on an open exchange of experience, support for younger colleagues and a willingness to learn across borders. I encourage you to take part in the lectures, workshops, discussions, and feel free to ask questions that matter in your practice and make the most of the perspectives gathered in Sofia.
I thank our Bulgarian colleagues and the congress committees for their work in bringing us together. I look forward to seeing what we will take from this meeting into our work after the congress ends.

It is a true honour and a great pleasure for the Bulgarian Dental Association Sofia Region Body to welcome the Balkan dental community to Sofia for the 31st Congress of the Balkan Stomatological Society.
This year’s Congress is particularly special, as for the first time BASS joins forces with the 61st edition of BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL and DERMA & AESTHETICS, bringing together dentistry, medicine and aesthetics within one major professional event. The Scientific Committee is pleased to welcome you to a congress programme designed to encourage evidence-based practice, critical discussion and the exchange of contemporary knowledge across the different fields of dental medicine.
Our ambition is to bring together respected experts, experienced clinicians, researchers and young professionals in a programme that reflects current scientific developments and their practical application in everyday patient care.
Building on the success of last year’s congress, which featured 250 oral presentations and more than 300 poster presentations, we look forward to an equally rich and diverse scientific programme in Sofia.

For the first time, the 31st Congress of the Balkan Stomatological Society will join forces with the 61st edition of BULMEDICA / BULDENTAL and DERMA & AESTHETICS, creating one of the most dynamic professional gatherings in the region.
Bringing together dentistry, medicine, aesthetics, science and industry under one roof, this landmark collaboration will significantly expand the Congress experience — attracting a broader professional audience, increasing visibility and opening new opportunities for networking, partnerships, innovation and exchange of ideas.
The event will take place at Inter Expo Center Sofia, one of Bulgaria’s leading venues for major international exhibitions, congresses and business events.
With 42,000 square metres of modern exhibition and congress space across 14 halls, Inter Expo Center offers the scale, flexibility and infrastructure needed for an event of this ambition.
Located at 147 Tsarigradsko Shose Boulevard, in Sofia’s south-eastern business district, the venue is easily accessible by car and public transport. The Inter Expo Center – Tsarigradsko Shose metro station is located directly next to the venue, providing fast and convenient connections to both Sofia city centre and Sofia Airport.
For the convenience of Congress participants, complimentary shuttle transportation will operate three times daily between the Metropolitan Hotel Sofia, the main Congress hotel, and Inter Expo Center. The detailed shuttle schedule will be announced prior to the Congress.
